Employee of the Month: Tooba Murshedkar

The Sanaria employee of the month for September 2020 is Tooba Murshedkar.  Tooba is a member of the regulatory team, responsible for all communications and interactions with the US FDA and international regulatory bodies worldwide in support of the pre-clinical, product and clinical development programs for Sanaria’s PfSPZ-based products. This year, since COVID has kept most of us at home, Sanaria put its foot on the gas of an already high-speed regulatory submissions program.  Tooba has led this program with dedication, tenacity, attention to the minutest detail, and the fearlessness needed to keep over-enthusiastic Sanarians in check.  Tooba daily negotiates the rules and regulations of the two major regulatory agencies in the world, the FDA and EMA.  She patiently and calmly explains their needs, their differences, and their timelines to the Sanaria teams providing her with essential documentation and goes through each submission with an awesome sense of responsibility in her work.  She is the face of Sanaria to the FDA and EMA, and her diligence pays off many times over in terms of the level of high regard with which Sanaria is held.  Over the last month, the submissions process has begun to ramp up, and Tooba has been at the heart of it all.

Tooba attended the University of Southern California and received her Master of Regulatory Science degree. Tooba began at Sanaria in May of 2009.
