Sanaria Hosts Students from the National Student Leadership Conference
On the 17th and 28th of June, Sanaria hosted a total of 148 students from the National Student Leadership Conference. These high school students, hailing from across the globe, are all united in their interest in biotech. The students were first introduced to the global impact of malaria and our clinical programs by LW Preston Church, then given an overview of the vaccine manufacturing process by Alyssa Arnheim. Sanarians Steve Matheney, Poojan Pyakurel, and James Overby exhibited the mosquito life stages and Tobi Fagbohun, Henry Huang, and Sam Slavin gave a demonstration with liquid nitrogen. Both students and chaperones enjoyed the tour and asked many questions, remarking that Sanaria was one of their favorite places to visit.
