Sanaria Attended the 68th ASTMH Meeting
From 20-24 November 2010, Sanaria participated in the 68th Annual ASTMH (American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene) Meeting held at the Gaylord Resort in Washington, D.C. The Sanaria team and their collaborators had 28 oral presentations and posters, including a symposium dedicated to PfSPZ vaccines. The symposium, entitled: “PfSPZ-Based Vaccines: Progress Towards Licensure of a Vaccine for Malaria-Naïve and Malaria-Exposed Populations,” was chaired by Captain Judith Epstein from the Naval Medical Research Center (USA) and Dr. Said Jongo from the Bioko Island Malaria Elimination Program and Ifakara Health Institute (Equatorial Guinea and Tanzania) and included presentations by Dr. Stephen L. Hoffman and Dr. Thomas L. Richie (Sanaria, USA), Dr. Said Jongo, and Dr. David Cook (Laboratory of Malaria Immunology and Vaccinology, NIAID, NIH, USA).
