Employees of the Month: Angel Ankrah and Jessica Chan

The Sanaria employees of the month for October 2023 are Angel Ankrah and Jessica Chan. Angel and Jessica are members of the Quality Control team, responsible for performing environmental monitoring (EM) during aseptic activities and analyzing the biological data collected from sampling.  Angel is also responsible for the Sporozoite Membrane integrity Assay. Angel and Jessica were nominated for employees of the month for their recent work performing all the EM for PC141 and PC142. They have been working closely with Mosquito, Gametocyte, and VEIMS groups to make sure all activities are coordinated and following the proposed schedule. Even when our processes require long days and after business hours, they are focused and willing to make the effort to make sure all the production passes the QA standards. They also are responsible for Material Release together with Materials Management and recently took over the task of the Microbiology Lab. They are both professional and bring joy every day to our workplace.

Angel received her BS in Biology and joined Sanaria in January 2022. Jessica graduated from Montgomery College with a focus in Biological Sciences.  She joined Sanaria in November 2022.
